Coralberry, Symphoricarpus orbiculatus Moench., also known
as Indian-currant, is an obscure native shrub suitable for naturalizing. It has opposite leaves, and fruits that are
almost pink in color. I recall having
seen it in only two places where one happens to be on some property I own and the other is on an easement to another tract of
property I own. This is a little
surprising since the habitats seem so different that I would expect it
