Moonseed, Menispermum canadense, is a vine that literally has seed that look like the moon although somewhat of a caricature.  The generic name is Greek for moonseed.  There are three species where one is in Mexico and the other is in Asia, although it is northeast Asia rather than Southeast Asia like most taxa found in southeast North America.  The plant is toxic while coralbeads, Cocculus carolinus, another species in the same family is highly toxic.  I don’t recall ever specifically seeing moonseed, thus it is probably barely worth consideration for a landscape or mention here.
