Zero Maintenance Landscape
A zero maintenance landscape is a myth unless you want it somewhere between totally natural and totally overgrown with invasive exotics and an example would be a lawn with crabgrass and annual bluegrass. The main consequence will be property value considering that the value of the landscaping is estimate to be about 10-15% of the value of the house.
Don't Know, Don't Care
Paying to have dozens of large messy black walnut trees removed where the lowest bidder actually grinds the stumps and hauls everything else to a dump. The price paid was less than what an equivalent amount of firewood would cost, not to mention the forsaken value of the wood and stumps had it been used for furniture or gun stocks.
Defying the Law (of Gravity)
Building a nearly vertical retaining wall especially if it supports a structure. Even the Ancient Egyptians learned that stone should not be stacked steeper than the angle of repose, which is less than 52o for the large pyramids and much less for random piles particularly where moisture can become a lubricant such as in an earthen dam.
